Wooden flooring installation will often require an adhesive or glue. Ordinary PVA wood glue is required to bond the boards together for the installation of a T & G floating wood floor either engineered (Karelia 14mm Story and SAIMA), Structured or Solid. To install glue-down solid wood flooring, full surface bonding is recommended using the Sika Acoubond system which uses a pre-cut polyethylene foam mat for easy installation. This system combines the advantages of full surface bonding with floating installations to give the optimum solution to noise reduction and walking comfort.
